Congratulations to every member of the cast on a job well done! Your directors, Teri-Lynn and Alex must be very proud. Each person contributed to make this show a success. It was a real treat for the audience.
The energy of the performers was amazing. The set popped. The costumes were bright and fun. The choreography brought the songs to life. Everyone knew their parts.
As expected, the actors sparkled in their roles. bringing out their character's personalities and delivering the lines with confidence. For some, it was their first time in a major role, and their debut performance was stellar.
Not only was the show fun, it also had a message.
Each of us has been given talents. We need to use them, unashamed of who we are, and unafraid to "use our own voice, sing our own song".
Edwina Spoonapple is an "advice-giver extraordinaire" who desperately wants to be recognized for her only talent. Come to the musical on Saturday at the Asper Centre for Theatre and Film (map), and you'll get to listen in on her show and learn all about, how to save money, what to do if you're shy, how to set a table and...what to do if you're in love (with Edwina?!).
As you can imagine, this is a fun show. Everyone has worked hard to put it together. Come out for the 4:00 show or the 7:00 show or both! There will be a bake table, as well as a Fundscrip table (selling gift cards) in order to continue to raise funds for production costs. Tickets are available at Masterworks, the door, and eventbrite.ca. Both shows are already half-filled, so don't delay! And...enjoy the show!
