It's easy to give thanks when the weather is gorgeous and you have time to enjoy it and you're with the people you love and everyone's getting along.
But is that how life works all the time? What about when it's cold and everyone's tired and complaining? That's how I found myself the day after Thanksgiving.
So, I prayed on the way to school. Thanked God for the good times we had on the week-end. Thanked Him for his ability to give us grace and admitted that we needed grace. That gift of God that we cannot earn. That we don't deserve. We were feeling so weak. And that is the exact time that his grace is enough.
I want to learn to give thanks no matter what. Every day. In all things. Because God's got everything under control. Maybe I can't see it at the moment. But he's bringing good out of even the most terrible things. He's always with us. He will never leave us or forsake us. He listens when we call to Him. He love us!
And that's why every day can be a thanks-giving-day.
